LMU Trip First Deposit added by Mr Nishimoto
The first deposit for the LMU Guitar Festival trip is due January 16th. You must turn in the half page info sheet to be placed on the trip roster. Late deposits may not be accepted as space on the trip is limited.

A Successful Fall Concert Season added by Mr. Nishimoto
Tonight will be the concluding concert to our Fall Concert Series. We would like to thank everyone who supported our program concerts including parents, friends, the Coronado Administration, and CHS Support Staff. It was a successful concert series. Our next Concert Series will be in February of 2009 and will include an Ensemble Concert, a Soloist Recital, and a Festival Performance hosted by LVA.

The website will be going through some construction changes and updating of information in anticipation of the 2008-2009 school year. Please be patient as several parts of the website will be down and the appearance of the site may be unstable. The refresh should be done by mid-July. Be sure to check back to see all the changes.

Las Vegas Guitar Festival added by Mr Nishimoto
The Las Vegas Guitar Festival will be held June 20-24, 2007 at UNLV. The Las Vegas Guitar Festival is a classical guitar festival that features jazz guitar and flamenco guitar. Participants of all levels and stylistic backgrounds are welcome to attend. High school students are given a discount, to receive this discount see Mr. Nishimoto before registering. Dr. Nathan Fischer to visit Coronado High School added by Mr Nishimoto
Dr. Nathan Fischer has offered to come as a guest speaker to Coronado High School Guitar Program on Wednesday May 9th. He is heading up the Las Vegas Guitar Festival to be held this summer.
His biography from his website:
"Nathan holds a Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music in Performance and Literature of Guitar, where he developed his inviting and captivating performance and teaching personality. For his achievements, the Eastman School presented him with the rare and prized Andrés Segovia Award for Musical Accomplishment and Human Endeavor in 2004. Nathan received his Bachelor of Music from George Mason University and during his undergraduate students, he attended master classes with Oscar Ghiglia at the Academia di Musicale Chigiana in Sien a, Italy and Les Arcs, France.
Nathan Fischer is on faculty with the State University of New York in Fredonia where he teaches guitar, history and literature of guitar, and guitar pedagogy. He is also on faculty with Nazareth College in Rocheste r, New Yor k, a nd he currently holds a performance based Artist-in-Residence from the University of Las Vegas Nevada. As an advocate for the advancement of the arts, Nathan is the founding President of the International Guitar Institute, an organization committed to the advancement of the guitar in the world of music."

Regional Performances added by Mr Nishimoto
Great job to everyone who participated in the NMEA Regional Solo and Ensemble performances on Tuesday. You represented yourselves and Coronado in the best fashion possible. Results will be in soon. Regardless of your ratings, every single one of you did a fantastic job. You have each shown improvement in both your musicality and your technical abilities. Again, great job.
